Opensource library containing 5 interviews from artist to community leaders.
Information, support and education should be easily accessible always, as part of my practice I am sharing 5 interviews surrounding the topic of community and creating community through the sharing of this project.


All recordings in the collection take parts of a longer interview and cut into snippets, introductions and goodbyes are cut, clipsnotes.

A caseworker and her client take us through the realities of a lived experience substance abuse support network, the issues they address, the steps they specifically take towards building and supporting each other within a wider society that may through them to the way side.

He talks of community building in the context of a city and the design industry. He leads us through the amount of organisational safeguards to make sure an event as big as the Birmingham Design Festival can run, the amount of volunteers they get each year and more interesting the results it has in fostering a wider and specific Birmingham Design and arts community, being a space for practitioners and enthusiasts, young and old to seek support, express themselves and find others.

I talk with a member of the BIPOC LGBTQI+ artist collective Fruit Punch, they host meet ups, talks and check ups through Birmingham. Our interviewee takes us through just what it’s like to be a part of such a group navigating safe spaces in places that don’t always cater to it.
